Athletic Programs
Athletics is a key part of an Oakwood Friends School education. By design, Oakwood’s Athletics Program challenges students within a competitive, yet supportive framework, teaching the fundamentals and skills necessary to participate in various team and individual sport options. Daily athletic participation provides physical training and promotes healthy choices. Competition within and between schools encourages principles of fair play, and fosters team building as well as school pride.
Upper School students are required to participate in at least one team sport each year, with most students participating on multiple teams.
