Meghan Bishop

Meghan joined the Oakwood community in 2020 as our 5th grade teacher, and instantly fell in love with teaching in the Middle School. In 2022, she made the transition into the role of Middle School Science teacher, and in 2023 added the title of Middle School Dean of Students. She graduated SUNY New Paltz with a Bachelor of Science in Childhood Education, specializing in Geography, and the University of Phoenix with a Master of Arts in Education Curriculum & Instruction, specializing in English & Language Arts Education. In her spare time, Meghan is an avid soccer player and along with playing for the East Hudson’s Women’s Soccer League, she has been coaching the Oakwood Girls Varsity soccer team since 2022. She loves listening to all types of music and plays multiple instruments. She has a passion for traveling, exploring cultures, analyzing maps, and all aspects of Earth & environmental science. Students can look forward to a hands on, energetic, student driven, and inquiry based science classroom where they will be exploring depths of various phenomena.
