Stephanie Lawrence

 

Stephanie is a dedicated middle school teacher, committed to providing a solid foundation in mathematics. Stephanie strives to create a supportive learning environment where students can explore mathematical concepts, develop critical thinking skills, and build confidence in their abilities. With a diverse educational background that includes a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences and a minor degree in Chemistry, both obtained from SUNY Cortland, she brings a unique blend of scientific knowledge and mathematical expertise to the classroom. Over the past three years, she has had the privilege of teaching various science and mathematics courses, honing her instructional skills and fostering a passion for learning in her students. Stephanie has a variety of interests, from immersing herself in her garden, to snowboarding in the winter. She appreciates art and expresses herself creatively through painting, crocheting, practicing calligraphy, and more. Whether it is exploring new subjects, delving into different hobbies, or engaging in educational activities, Stephanie maintains a curious and open mindset. She wholeheartedly embraces the concept of lifelong learning and is actively driven to challenge herself to expand her knowledge and acquire new skills. Stephanie is passionate about helping students discover the beauty and logic of mathematics, and is excited to continue her journey as an educator, empowering students to succeed in math and beyond. Stephanie now lives on campus with her husband, two cats and her dog.
