Matt Voorhees

 

Matt Voorhees graduated from Oakwood in 2017, having attended from sixth through twelfth grade. He joined the Academic Office as the Academic Programs Assistant in 2022 and also serves as the school archivist, managing the Alson & Irene Van Wagner Archives Room.

Before taking on his current roles, Matt assisted in the Development & Alumni Affairs Department and contributed to the planning committee for Oakwood’s 100th anniversary celebration in Poughkeepsie in September 2021. Alongside fellow alum Anita Dickhuth ’54, Matt co-created a photographic history book of Oakwood, showcasing its history decade by decade since its relocation to Poughkeepsie a century ago.

Prior to returning to Oakwood as a faculty member, Matt worked in the Residence Life department of his college. Outside of Oakwood, Matt also works as a genealogist.
