What's Happening Around Campus

Virtual Alumni Weekend 2020

May 21, 2020

Our first Virtual Alumni Weekend brought together over 100 alums from the classes of 1946 to 2010, calling in from as far away as Ireland and the West Coast and as near as New Paltz! The virtual weekend events kicked off with our 7th Annual Arts Lecture presented by photographer Katie Settel ‘84 sharing her nationally recognized exhibit ‘(un)Forgotten’. https://www.katiesettel.com. Many thanks to Marsha and Jonathan Talbot ’57 for their on-going support of this lecture series.

Just as we do for Alumni Weekend on campus, we then held special virtual gatherings for the 50th reunion class as well as the 10th reunion class, and many more in between. Divided by decades, the Alumni Weekend Zoom calls were lively and engaging, with much reminiscing and laughter. Though we would have loved to have been on campus together celebrating 100 years at our Poughkeepsie location, it was thrilling to see friends from so many locations and decades come together on screen! Thanks to everyone who participated – we hope to see you back on campus soon!
