Jesse Washington ’86
We are thrilled to announce that acclaimed journalist, author, and documentary filmmaker Jesse Washington ’86 will be our featured guest speaker for this year’s Alumni Weekend!
A former national correspondent for The Associated Press, author of three books, and a respected voice in documentary storytelling, Jesse has spent his career illuminating powerful human stories that shape our world. He is currently a senior journalist at ESPN’s Andscape, a Black storytelling platform.
Friday, June 12 | 7:00 PM Join us for a screening of Bearing Witness: A Portrait of Darnella Frazier, Jesse’s powerful film about the teenager who captured the footage of the murder of George Floyd. Followed by Q&A with Jesse.
Saturday, June 13 | 2:00 PM Join Jesse for an engaging conversation and thought-provoking dialogue centered on storytelling, witnessing history, and the impact of media in moments that matter.
