Chad Cianfrani

Chad is in his tenth year as head of school and 20th year at Oakwood. During his tenure, Chad taught physics, algebra, robotics, served as a dorm parent, coached girls varsity soccer, ultimate frisbee, and cross country. As associate head and director of special projects, he oversaw the installation of the 2-acre solar array and several campus improvement projects including the IT infrastructure overhaul, renovations of the dorms, classrooms, Main Building, Middle School, and most recently the completion of the Spencer Family Theater. Currently he, his wife Sue, and their two boys, Andy (8th) and Henry (10th), enjoy all aspects of the Oakwood community with their campus rescue cat Markie.

Education: Sc. B. and Sc. M., Mechanical Engineering, Brown University.
