Naomi is excited to join Oakwood Friends School as the School Nurse. A nationally certified school nurse (NCSN), Naomi brings experience working with children and families in both clinical and educational settings. Her approach to student health is shaped by a creative, interdisciplinary background and a deep commitment to whole-child care.

Prior to joining Oakwood, Naomi served as a school nurse in the Poughkeepsie City School District, where she was known for her calm presence, student-centered practice, and commitment to health equity. She is passionate about creating safe, inclusive spaces that support students’ physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Naomi is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on nursing education, as well as a Certificate of Professional Studies in Narrative Medicine through Columbia University. She believes in the power of narrative to foster empathy, connection, and healing—especially within school communities.
