Binita Mehta is a passionate educator. In addition to her specialization in French language, literature, and culture, she has taught courses in Global Studies as well as South Asian literature. Underscoring the importance of French spoken not only in Europe but in parts of Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and North America, Binita is looking forward to sharing her knowledge with students at Oakwood. A scholar of global cinema, Binita is often invited to serve on panel discussions at Francophone and South Asian film festivals. Prior to joining Oakwood, she taught at Manhattanville University.

 

Education: B.A., Economics & Political Science (minor in French), St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai; M.A., French Literature, University of Georgia; Ph.D., French Literature, City University of New York Graduate School.
